Don Powell drives in for a lay-in. The young Viking basketball squad had a very respectable season. They posted 14 wins against an equal number of losses. Their conference record of 10 wins and 6 losses enabled them to grab a share of the Oregon Collegiate Conference championship, an excellent show for a senior-less squad with a starting lineup in­ cluding a freshman and two sophomores. Don Powell was named to the all-league team, Don Bridges led team scoring and rebounding and other starters were all given honorable mention on the all-league squad.
