President’s Message With chilly days and rainy Portland weather come gatherings of friends and family to celebrate the holidays. Please join us for the RAPS annual Holiday Party, with a delicious menu planned by Claudine Fisher and Multnomah Athletic Club Executive Chef Philippe Boulot. RAPS Scholarship recipient Jillian Szilagyi Kelly will join us for this event, which helps support the scholarship program. The RAPS Program Committee has planned some exciting monthly programs to warm up our winter months. In January 2016, members will hear about the latest developments at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry from its President, Nancy Steuber. Provost Emeritus Michael Reardon will join us in February to discuss the development of Eastern International University in Vietnam. Our March program will feature Susan Sokol Blosser who will discuss her book on winemaking across generations. Three years in the making, this project of the Retirement Association of Portland State contains more than 300 color and black-and-white photos that document PSU’s history, events, and people.
