44 •  Chapter 1: La clase de español Module C: Classmates and life outside the classroom Module overview In this module, you will learn more about your colleagues and begin discussing the “typical” student. You will also talk about how you and your classmates compare to this hypothetical student. These conversa- tions will involve gathering and sharing information about daily habits, likes and dislikes, and life outside of school. Next, we will consider how the typical student at our school compares to college students in other parts of the country as well as in other countries. Learning objectives: Language Lengua 1.5: Regular present tense conjugation ❏ I can explain what conjugation is. ❏ If I know a verb is regular, I can conjugate it in the present tense, though it may take me longer for some subjects. This is true for -ar verbs, -er verbs, and -ir verbs. ❏ If I read or hear a conjugated verb, I can figure out who the subject is (i.e., who is doing the verbal action).
