In these sentences, the word gusta or gustan is preceded by an indirect object pronoun, which tells us to whom something is done. In this case, it tells us to whom something is pleasing. Le To her, to him, to you (sing., formal) (Corresponds with ella , él , or usted .) Nos To us (Corresponds with nosotros or nosotras .) There are several more verbs that are commonly used in sentences with structures just like the gustar examples above: interesar to be interesting molestar to be bothersome/irritating encantar to be enchanting fascinar to be fascinating aburrir to be boring importar to be important, to matter faltar to be lacking/missing sorprender to be surprising preocupar to be worrisome These verbs are almost always used along with an indirect object pronoun expressing to whom something is interesting, fascinating, or boring. They also follow the same rules as gustar as far as how to determine whether to use their singular or plural form. Remember that you will use an expression with a whenever you need to clarify who the le or les is referring to. Also remember that you will use definite articles ( el , la , los , las ) with nouns.
