Taking into account numerous environmental and social factors, Scribner proposes an ~ocity for the northeast corner of the Olympic Peninsula, in the rainshadow of the Olympic range. • Reading through the book, especially Dick Pfotarich's "The Portland that Might Have Been," enriched my sense of place. I'm looking forward to future volumes in this series.
