OAT will be administering the program for the State of California. We will be conducting technical and peer review of all.California proposals and making recommendations to ERDA on which proposals should be funded. For further information-and to get an application (submission deadline Nov. 21), call ERDA at (415) 273-7910. Conference: California Celebrates Detritus We are thinking about sponsoring a conference on terrestrial and aquatic detritus (bacteria, <;omposting, earthworms, shellfish, etc.). Its goal would be to provide a forum for scientists, policymakers and business persons to see what's.happening on the decomposer side of the food chain. Should we do it?
