Thursdoy^^^ Associated Press N ancy Kerrigan, the 22-year- old U.S. figure skater who was favored among the gold metal favorites at the 1994 Winter Olympics, was attacked after practice by a man who hit her on the right leg with a police baton, or riot stick, the blow severely bruised her knee and quadriceps tendon. An anonymous phone call to Detroit authorities pointed to Kerrigan's rival, Tonya Harding. Harding ex- husband, Jeff Gillooly and her bodyguard, Shawn Eckhardt and two hired men were indicted in the Kerrigan case. Kerrigan took home the silver at the Olympics, Oksana Bayul the gold.
