Anointing de Preist Wednesday, Sept. 22,1993 Smith Memorial Center Ballroom Andrea Gomez J ames DePreist, conductor of the Oregon Symphony, received an honorary doctorate degree at the Fall Convocation. DePreist spoke fondly of past artistic collaborations with PSU and offered a grave vision of the budget hardships facing higher education.
