N ixon moved into Cambodia and the students moved outside. Th e sun was shining but it shorvn on an America torn by violence and hate in the hearts of Americans. The conflict between the establishment 's commitment to solving their problems and the students' commitment to fulfilling their human needs brought bloodshed to PSU. The strikers, "children afraid of the dark / who have never been happy or good," built walls around their own despair. The barricades became emblems of an internal struggle to be recognized or even heard. Bu t the walls were strong and tearing them down built higher, stronger walls. America and revolution was back where it started and Patrick Henry's words echoed again, "Gentle– men, you cry peace, peace, but there is no peace. "
