"This is clearly the film generation," says Andries Deinum, who teaches a film course and directs instructional television at PSU. It was Deinum's first year at the university. And with his arrival came hope for an upbeat in the number of film-oriented classes offered. The pro– fessor's one film class drew 200-300 students a term. "And this is not teaching any more when you have 180-250 kids in a room. It's not teaching, it's a form of show business," claimed Deinum. "All I can be is a cross between Sergei Eisenstein and Bob Hope and just hope that on a certain level I get through to each of the students in some way...."
