Christmas was everywhere , but at Portland State the spirit of Christmas hovered politely in the background , awaiting a nod from students . First there was dead week, then finals' week. Som~how, someone found time to decorate 10 of the 25 windows in College Center. And here and there holly and baubles brightened desk tops and doorways. But mostly Christmas just marked time.... And now our tests are finished. Complete , your many chores . Come in , bring Christmas with you , The next few days are yours. Thus encouraged Christmas moved in. Partying, gifting and singing prevailed. Five hundred persons crowded into the ballroom to hear this year's Christmas Concert "Novellis Novellis." This was the 12th annual concert presented by the drama and music departments. 51
