104 Unfortunately over-exuberance got somewhat out of hand bringing about police intervention and foreshadowing the future. Bend residents, uneasy and running scared after the Seaside inci– dent.have asked for and been assured of stricter controls next year. All day Sunday, even after the setting sun had reddened the snowy peaks, sounds and sighs of departure echoed through the crisp mountain air. The weekend had slipped through fingers like sand-leaving only things remem– bered-tall tales to spin to the folks back home.... Slalom till next year.
