Tony Costa, president, and the 1600 freshmen survived a confused start and came through with the most vigorous class effort seen this year. The freshmen class officers were: Dennis Heidenreich, first vice president; Sally Jones, second vice president; Lori Nelson, secretary; Sue Clave, treasurer ; Joanne Schmitz, historian; and Kathy Prasil, sergeant at arms. After joining the inter-class council, the first year Norsemen organized a frosh get-acquaint­ ed tea. Afterward, they held a sweater raffle and began preparations for a gigantic barbecue and street dance in the park blocks during the spring term.
