LUTHERAN STUDENTS The Lutheran Student Association, organized during the current year, was one of the most active campus religious societies. Meeting weekly, the LSA brought about discussion among stu dents, faculty and religious leaders. Although primarily academic in purpose, the group also provides fel lowship and social activity among Christian students. The Lutheran students sponsored several outings and retreats at the Ore gon coast, mountain camps and a mem bers' homes. The LSA also sponsored study courses on Christianity and evo lution and preparation for marriage which were taught by the grou p's ad viser, Dr. Jerry Peterson. The Lutheran association shares in the Cooperative C2.mpus Ministry As sociation, the Westminster House and the college Religious Affairs Commit tee. Active discussion is promoted by Dr. Jerry Peterson, adviser, and lSA Choir. man Paul Jessen . 247
