244 MOTHERS' CLUB The Por tland State Mothers' Club enables par ents to become bet'ter acquainted with the college. Through soc ial events and business meetings mothers of PSC stud ents can share in th e progress of the college. The mothers provide mon ey for scholarships, sponso r faculty speakers, and meet jointly with the D ads' Club. Du ring the fall the P SC Mothers' C Iub sup ported Ball ot Measure Six and helped pass this impo rtant bill for higher educa tion in Oregon. Mrs. I van Rosing se rved as a president of the Mothers' C lub during 1961. A joint session of the PSC Mothers' and Dads' clubs listens to Dr. E. Dean Anderson, assistant to the president, explain the important details oP 801l0t Measure 6. Assisted by the backing of PSC parents this measure, which raised the bonding floor under the self.liCluidating building program of Oregon's tax· supported colleges, was passed by voters. Mrs. Ivan Rosing indicates an important reason for voting "yes" on measure six while from left, Mes· dames R. W. Clark, lucylle Corcoran, Elaine Gray and Carlo Spo.ito look on.
