The IFC serves as the advisory board to PSC's six fraternities. It deals with problems of nationalization, schol arship, housing, service, and conduct. Portland State's I FC has participated in the N orthw ~st and Western Regional Interfraternity umferences as well as the National Interfraternity Conference. During fall term three PSC Students, Chuck Love , Bob Betten dorf and Hugh Boyce drove to Los Angeles to attend the National Interfraternity Conference. This was the first year PSC has been represented at the NIC. The IFC pioneered grade standards for fraternity membership eligibility. Legislation that begins in the council is often adopted by the college for all student organizations. 223
