With the increase in partici­ pating colleges and universities, ski competition was heightened. By taking first place in the sla­ lom and downhill, and placing second in the giant slalom, Idaho University won the ski competition with a total time of 10 :26.0 The University of Washington was second with 10:52.0. and Portland State College took third place with a time of 10 :57.0. More than 100 skiers entered in the com­ petition from the participating schools. Seattle University was awarded the participation trv phy on the basis of the number of students attending and their participation in the varioqs events.
