The three day weekend began with a blizzard which left ideal powder snow for skiing, a ••hown by the en· thu.iastic skier on the left. Sunday the sun provided weather which wa. perfect for skie.. a. well a••Iedde.., swimmers, and snow·shoers. The welcome sign on Timberline Lodge greeted over 5000 colleg-e stu­ dent's from the Northwest to the fifth annual Winter Carnival at Mt. Hood, one of the finest skiing areas in the United States.
