VIWAYS The VI-WAYS is a Freshman orienta­ tion handbook given each September to new students to acquaint them with Port­ land State College. The 1961 editor (and only staff member) was John Terry, whose hard work during hours of summer vacation time made this complete and ex­ planatory handbook possible. STUDENT REVIEW This year The Portland State Review of Student Writing was edited by Don Beck, with the assistance of Dick Moore, Mike Ryherd, Will Strong, and Diane Abbott. This literary publication, made up of short stories, essays, poetry, and art of Portland State College stu­ dents, has received much crit­ ical acclaim within the college and community. Cash prizes are awarded each year for the best works published. This year the Review awards went to Jerry Harris, George A. G. Hutto, and Hall Whittaker.
