~ Tne latest edition of tne Vanguard is enjoyed by Cap Hedges, Max Berg, Sharon Hune, and Jonn Wykoff. Winter and spring term saw the Vanguard create a minor sensation when it printed a defense of segrega­ tion by Bill Hoaglund , editor of the University of Georgia student paper, and the next week followed with a rebuttal. Other highlights included a campaign to re­ name the new classroom south Neuberger Hall, an edi­ torial highl y critical of the film "Operation Abolition" which drew a letter of praise from U .S. Congress­ woman Edith Green , and a news story on a socialist speaker in the park block which was later quoted ex­ tensively in the socialist newspaper " Peoples World."
