122 THE VANGUARD In January Bruce Baer took over as edi­ tor, Joe Goodwin stepped down to as­ sociate editor, and Mrs. Wilma Morrison was added to the faculty and became Van­ guard advisor. Distribution boxes were placed at strategic points in buildings, and "The Outsider", a cartoon character created by Portlander Bob Brunjes, was added.
