116 John Morrison as Jawan makes the discovery that Brian Bressler (center). the Wazir, is really his son in a dramatic moment in the Portland State Player production of "Kismet". The spring musical, "Kismet" , directed by Asher Wilson, was presented to May audiences four times in PSC's audito­ rium. The beautiful costumes, lively dancing, and orchestra music and compe­ tent acting were combined in this smooth production. The mystical Arabian setting led the audience back into the enchant­ ment of the past in a far-off land. Leading a cast of some fifty-five stu­ dents were Richard Tracy as Haji ; Julie Horns as Marsinah; Brian Bressler as the Wazir of Police; Diane Sonderskov as Lalume, and Phil Bonfiglio as the Caliph. Others sparking the presentation were John Gardiner, Ben Vose, John Rausch, John Terry, Don Foss, John Morrison, Stella Newton, Gary Baker, Don Bar­ tholomew, Harry Findley, Mike Moore, William Lucky. David Jimmerson, Charles Gilman, Glen Edgmon, Nancy Falloon, Rosalie King, Cathy Nesbit, Mary Vinton, Paige Kinsman, Alice Vinton. Bev Baker, Anne Brostoff, Tommy Thompson, Maureen McCarthy and Ruth Hornstein. Phil Bonfiglio and Julie Horns as the romantic lead•.
