Portland State's exceptionally fine golf squad, by the middle of the season, had posted a record of eight wins and only one de­ feat. After posting wins over Linfield, Lewis and Clark, Pacific, Portland University, and OCE by lopsided margins, the Vikings met their only defeat at the hands of the strong Seattle University. Outstanding so far this season have been Mack Wiebe, Bruce Weaver, and Bob Smith. 221 HARRY PRICE BRUCE WEAVER Coach Becker is in his first season as golf coach at PSC after coming from the University of Oregon.
