RON ADAMS MIKE ADLER PHIL ADOLPH GARY BISHOP AL BROWN Outfield Outfield 2nd Bo.e Outfield Pitcher Mike Tichy, now in his fourth year as head baseball coach at Portland State, and Roy Love, assistant coach and all-conference choice as a pitcher last year, get together dur­ ing a practice session at Overlook Park. Roy is working with the pit­ ching squad this year in an effort to get some throwers who will de­ velop his old pinpoint control. With a small nucleus, the pitching de­ partment is rather thin. Mr. Tichy served as termis coach at Portland University before com­ ing to Portland State, and at one time, compiled a string of 71 straight victories. Roy had a 7-5 record last year and really came through at the last of the season, when the Vikings won six of their last eight ball games. 216
