JON ABRAHAM BYRON ARTHUR DAVE CARPENTER LEE CLARK TOM COOK 100·220·BJ 440·880 Broadjump Shotputt Mile As it appears now, the Vikings should have an excellent chance to go through the season unde feated in dual meet competition. Ahead are such teams as Lewis and Clark, Willamette, OCE, Portland, and Eastern Oregon. May 14th the team travels to Klamath Falls to compete in the Conference Championships. Then, the following weekend, they participate in the NAIA District # 2 meet. Jon Abraham, closely followed by Stan and Carlo Sposito, hits the tape for a new record in the century. Stan Miller, State high school champ, has been constantly improving in the 440 and is certain to smash the Viking and Conference records before the season is over. Abraham , an ex-Grantonian, is one of six on the squad. Four currently hold PSC records-Hanson, Hill, Hedricks, and Abraham. The Sposito brothers have a good chance of etching their names in the PSC ha ll of fame. Both are possessed with a desire to win; Stan won the PSC Most Inspirational award last year. He also captured the OCC broad jump championship. Undoubtedly a big factor in the PSC hopes this year is Len Lukens. Len has lettered for three years, and each year, has won the Conference mile and two mile. This must stamp him as PSC's workhorse and one of it" most valuable trackmen. There is an excellent chance that he will get a crack at the nationals this year after missing out on a trip he deserved the previous year. He ranked as one of the top two-milers in the nation last year. 209 Stan Miller wins the 440.
