Linda Potier, Vanguard new. reporter, Jay Shi.ler, Viking arti.t, Sandy Given, assi.tant Viking editor, other Vanguard personnel are caught during a period of deep reflection. Faced with the problem of being under­ manned fall term, the Vanguard call was answered by more than 80 persons with some journalistic desire. Al though many were inexperienced, they carried a desire for good work. By the end of the term, some were filling top positions on the staff.
