The Southern Oregon College of Education Red Raiders were quite surprised to find such a strong P.S.c. quint, as the Raiders and Viks split their Is it a bird? A plane?-No, just a ball. BASKETB·ALL series, 2-2. The Raiders managed to squeak by the Viks in their initial contest 57-55 on the P.S.C. home court at Lincoln high school. John Winters' 22 points were high for P.s.c. The team looked sharp both offensively and defensively. The ensuing night Ced Aichele's 26 points and top-flight rebounding highlighted a Portland State 76-70 victory. Aichele was uncanny with his hook shots and jumpers. The entire Vik squad looked polished. S.O.C.E. SERIES Ed does it again. On .their journey to Ashland the Viks dumped the Raiders in their third meeting, 79-66. Big Jack Parker displayed the talents that garnered him the O.c.c. scoring crown, as he pumped in 34 points. Jack's jumper was his most valuable asset, but he hit well on the set shot also. The second night found the zone defense back­ fire on the Green and White as S.O.C.E. posted a 65-55 triumph to close out the series between the two. So who wore their stil ts? ! 254
