A~W. S. , BARBARA McCLANATHAN President Advisor The ASSOCIATED WOMEN STUDENTS of Portland State College, under the leadership of Barbara McClanathan, has taken part in many school activities. The main purpose of this organization is to knit the women students more closely together. In order to acquaint the officers and the girls, A.W.S. held a tea. The girls dressed semi­ formal and entertainment was presented. One of their most entertaining activities was the talent assembly. Their biggest success of the year was A.W.S. week which was held in May. Included in this week was Hello Day, the style show, a luncheon, and the annual dance, The Belles Ball.
