The Vikes made it an even .500 with S.O.C.E. this year. They won one and lost one in each of their home and home series. The one thing that distinguished this series was the importance of foul shots. The Raiders put the second home game into overtime by missing two foul shots after the final whistle had blown. Then to make the story complete the "Staters" lost the game by missing two foul shots after the extra stanza was over. At Ashland an accurate average of foul shots for S.O.C.E. won the game for them. The " Vikes" won both of their games by substantial margins. Brown and McLain were high scorers P.S.C. in the series. The Vikings put a damper on the hopes of the boys from Weber J. C. from the opening whistle. With the scoring of the two dynamite Dons, Koepke and McLain, the Vikes put on a show of hoop wizardry that showed promise of great things to come. Don McLain poured in 21 points and Don Koepke added 16 more. The Staters were never headed and the final score stood P.S.C. 58, Weber 46.
