VIlHDlIllrd / JOAN BURNETT Fall-Editor The VANGUARD STAFF started off last fall under the capable leadership of Editor Joan Burnett. The staff, for the most part, was inexperienced but willing to learn. The page editors, Phyllis Gallaher, News; Dick Bragh. ero, Features; and Bob Rector, Sports;' found that the job was not an easy one. However, with the winter term came a much easier task due to previous term's experience. Winter term editor, Phyllis Gallaher, had an enthus· iastic staff, including Mary Wheeler and Faye Jean' Vass, News; Dick Braghero, Features; and Harvey Steele, Sports. Each term the staff grew and became better in all·around J ournaliSrrf. Several standing columns were the trademarks of the staff. These included: Food for Thought, by Eliza· beth Tschida; Campus Capers, by Tom Leahy; Disc·cussions, by Dick Braghero ; and Bakers' Dozen, by Paul Baker. PHYLLIS GALLEGHER
