- --- ----- - BARRISTERS Gay Nineties Ball The annual Barrister's Gay Nineties Ball, held March 1, was the most enthusi astic and best enjoyed dance of the year. The theme of an "old western saloon," which was followed down to the last de tail, including can-can girls, provided the huge crowd with the atmosphere that set off the entire evening. Bill Becker's ten-piece band played for the overflow crowd in room 30 A. The Barristers are to be congratulated for bringing the first real collegiate dance to Vanport. The or iginal decorations and the atmosphere of the dance gave the affair a gay festive mood.
