SOCIAL SCIENCE DR. GEORGE C. HOFFMAN History, department head The purpose of the Social Science department is to give the student an understanding of the various Social Science fields. Its aim is to help the Liberal Arts student centralize his interests, and to give a cultural background to those stu­ dents in technical fields.
