As such, this organization strives for a strong sense of cooperation and loyalty among its members. During this year, A.W.S. members a,cted as hostesses at the Homecoming tea, ushered at one of the plays, held a kick-off dance after a football game, con­ ducted a fudge sale and paper drive, and held a talent assembly and tea for its members. Various student, faculty and guest speakers such as Patricia Lee and Darwin Jones were invited to speak at the semi-monthly meetings. In the spring, A.W.S. conducted the annual "A.W.S. Week" that begins with "Hello Day'" and ends with a luncheon, fashion show and "Belles Ball ." MRS. GREENSLADE Adviser
