One of the more popular courses that is attracting both men and women is the folk and' square dance class that is instructed by Mrs. Greenslade. Closely follow. ing this course is the social dance class that has become a very pOpU' lar way of obta ining a P.E. credit and having a good time doing it. PHYSICAL ED DIRECTOR Mrs. Greenslade Team sports for girls are offered, and enjoyed by those who like a more lu sty type of exercise. Swimming fits very well as an example of this. La st year the swimming classes were very well attended , even through the snowy weather, and in them the girls learned the basic strokes and had a very good time in the water. During spring term a swimming meet wa s held with some of the other colleges in the area and everyone that wanted to participated. Swimming is a requirement for all P.E. majors. Among the tentatively scheduled additi ons to the P.E. curricula , archery and go lf wi ll make the first appearance . Archery is to be an additional course for the coming spring term. Fine instruction and organization have made the women 's physical education courses offered by Vanport, attractive, stimulating, and highly educational.
