o. c. E. The season's most thrilling game proved to be the conference opener with O.C.E. Doug Talbot had to intercept an "Owl" pass and race the length of the floor to score the winning basket. This gave Vonport a slim 75-74 victory with Jerry Wells and Lloyd Bergman dividing scoring honors at 12 apiece. The second game saw O.C.E. bounce back and win the following night on their home floor.
