A rejuvenated Vanport grid squad traveled to Klamath Falls and proceeded to put a damper on the O.T.I. Homecoming . In the first quarter the Vikes climaxed an SS yard drive with a 53 yard dash by Jerry Garrett. The try for point failed and Van port led 6 to O. O. T. I. scored on a pass and I yard smash. The conversion wa s good and the half ended O.T.I . 7, Vanport 6. The Vikings came back in the third period to push over another T. D. on a pass from Countryman to Bigler. The conversion wa s good and Vanport held a 6 point lead . The game tying touchdown came a few minutes later capping a 66 yard drive. The kick wa s wide and the final score stood 13 to 13 .
