The Vikings opened the 1950 football season with a 13 to 0 win over Lower Columbia. J. C. Vanport scored in the second quarter on a pass from Countryman to Rider. The try for point failed and the Vikings led 6 to O. In the fourth quarter Vanport was again presented with a golden opportunity and Garrett scoreD on a two yard smash. The try for point by Countryman was good and Vanport led 13 to O. The game ended thi s way with Lower Columbia never presenting a seriou s threat.
