Pleiades is Vanport' s on ly women 's honorary society. Pleiades have been very active in school addressing envelopes for Homecoming invitations, adopting a family for Chri stma s, working with the campus parking com­ mittee , and serv ing' refreshments during Anni ve rsary Day. Mary C lancy, a Pleiades officer , wa s elected President of the inter-club council in the fall of 1950, and Lou ise Anderson , another Pleiades officer, ed ited the 1951 Vik­ ing . Members of Pleiades have bee n active on both stu­ dent publi cation s, they have se rved on the ra lly squad, and have held positions on the student council.
