STUDENT COUNCIL FALL 1950 The student council is the main functioning organization for all school activities at Van port. It works in direct cooperation with the inter-club council and the ad­ ministration of the school in hand­ ling the problems of the students. The council is supervised, in turn, by the Director of the school. Meetings of the council are held weekly throughout the school year. The student council of 1950-51 school year was very ably admin­ istered by Student Body Presi­ dent, Dean Harmenson. Serving under Dean were Fred Tomlin, vice-president ; Shirley Fretenberg, Secretary; Bill Drapeau, Treasur­ er, and eight Councilmen . Fred Toml in VICE PRESIDENT A very notable achievement of the council was the fine financ ial success it ach iev­ ed.
