Students combine their t a lents in constructing stage pro ps and scenes, in the application of make­ up, and costume designing. The Van port Thespian ha s a well rounded knowledge of the theatre through the many duties attached to the production of a play. Stage 444's fir st product ion of the year was Moss Hart's comedy " Li g ht Up The Sky." Vanports drama workshop fo ll owed t his suc­ cessfu l performance with two more equal ly successful comedies , Mo­ liere 's " Love is the Best Doctor" and "One Foot in Heaven" by ·Hartzell Spence. Mr. Robson is assuming leader­ ship of the drama department during the absence of Miss Doro­ thy Cl ifford.
