Climaxing the Homecoming weekend, some 1400 guests attended a silver coffee at Open House in the spacious Skyroom. Outstanding among the honored guests was the wife of Dean Cramer, Director of the Gen­ eral Extension program of the Oregon State System of Higher Education. Mrs. Cramer, with numerous faculty members and faculty wives served coffee to Homecoming Open House guests, which included students, a lum­ ni and their friends . With an encouragement to strengthen the alumni association of Vanport, Dr. Stephen Epler addressed the Alumni banquet at the Imperial Hotel preceding the Homecoming game at the Beaver Studium. Officers for the alumni association were elected for the coming year. They plan to keep in active touch with the a lumni all over the state and further their activities. 49 - .A'.II,~"i ..Ba"9ue"
