Carl George Spring Term Fresident Ben Wilkens Vice President Vern Johnson Secretary Bryan Walker Treasurer Tom Voiss Sigma Delta Omega, with 15 char­ ter members, received its charter as a Vanport fraternal organization during the winter term of 1949. At the end of winter term, 1950, the "Sig Delts " boasted a membership of 24 and eight pledges. The purpose of the fraternity is to further social fel­ lowship, brotherhood, and to be of service to the school. In student government "Sig Delt" Dan Voiss was elected to the office of student body president and num­ erous other members have served in various positions on the student council. In social activities, Sigma Delta Omega Bob Swanson was president of Inter-club counciL coodinating body of social affairs. During the year the group sponsored "Odd Ball" and co-sponsored "Frost Fantasy," an annual winter formal. They, also held their Second Founders day.
