"club-brotherhood-frater­ nity" organized in the Fall of I949, the Barons reached their goal for service to the school by sponsoring an intramural program including basketball, softball, tennis, swimming, vol­ leyball and golf. Their main athletic contributions include their placing men in every var­ sity and intramural sport. The Barons won the intramural foot­ ball championship with an un­ defeated record. Several members were elected to serve on the student council and serve on the school publications. Among their social activities the Barons sponsored a "Joe College and Betty Co-ed" dance March 31 with the theme "It Happens Every Spring."
