As the primary goal of this organization to promote school spirit and morale among its members, the A. W. S. executive council encouraged all girls to support and take part in school : activities. The girls were usherettes at Open House during Homecom­ ing and also assisted the invitation committee. "Hayseed Hobble," a barn dance. was the theme of the Thanksgiving dance spon­ sored by A.W.S. A welcome tea was given Winter term honoring newcomers.
