SarelnT), Mel Loomis.. . . . . . . . job Bllreall The Engineers' Club was reacti· vated the first part of "Vinter Term with Vernon C. Kirby, Presidenl. Harry Brumbaugh, Secretary, and David Parker, Treasurer. The purpose of this club was to introduce engiueering students to the activities of their particular fields of study, by showing selected films and presenting outstanding personnel who are actively engaged in the field of engineering. The c I u b was divided i n to groups. Trips were arranged for these groups to visit various lypes of engineering activities. Visits to Hyster Co., ESCo., T ek tronix, Inc.; Timber Structures, 1ne.; Alcoa; Bonneville Dam; Ross Substation and PGE installations were most interesting and infonna· live. A job dearing house was organ ized to help engineering students find work in line with their educa· tion. This project is working out very well and many students have found employment in their field of engineering for the summer.
