BERG SKID LOPARE The Ski Club was formed early in the fall quar ter by a few students. By Christmas vacation there were well over twenty-five members. A Ski Club Ball was held in January in the gym of Portland Hall. The club adopted a Scandinavian name "Berg Skid Lopare," which when translated means "moun tain ski runner." The officers are: President, Mort Patton; Vice President, Ted Johnson, and Secretary-Treasurer, Don Kurtz. They will hold office during the 1946 47 season. The college ski team, consisting of Patton, Ma letis, Rafferty, Anderson, Keep and McConnel, won a Tri-Collegiate meet at Me. Hood between Mult nomah, Lewis and Clark and Vanport. This meet is to be an annual affair between the local colleges in this area.
