The Portland State College Center jumped with a year long hum of activity. Eager auctioneers proved once more that discards can be profitable, and scholarship funds swelled with the sale of everything from umbrellas to books. And at holiday time, student artists trans­ formed rows of windows from just glass, to backlit Christmas colors.
