Loquacity and logic brought success to the speech students of Ben Pad row. The Forensics team, either winning or placing high in all of its meets, gave vocal proof of an ability to talk its way to the top. Politics at Portland State are a serious , year-round business. PSC's Young Republican Club has been effective in bringing stimulating speakers to the campus. Among them was Robert Packwood, chairman of the Multnomah County Republican Central Committee, and a candidate for the state legislature.
