Alumni Picture this THE SIMON BENSON HOUSE ,homeofthePSU Alumni Association, looks like it has always stood on the corner of Southwest Park and Montgomery. New students likely assume the campus grew around the grand Queen Anne sryle house. But chose who graduated before 2000 or know Portland well, know better. Photo displays showing the history of the house, includ– ing the one above, are now on the walls in the former front parlor, back parlor, and dining room. Wisner Creative put rogether the displays. The house was built in 1900 by lumber baron Simon Benson. The home's original stylish parlor is captured along with the srory of the house's move to campus in 2000 from its original site at Southwest 11 ch and Clay.
