Williams graduated in elementary educa– tion in the first graduating class of Portland State College. She went on LO work in Portland Public Schools for 32 years. Today she lives in Sisters. Pat Wolfe is the volunteer spiri– tual director for Portland Provi– dence Health ystem's Journey Through Grief program. Wolfe was a Protestalll chaplain al Providence St. Vincent Medical Cemer until her retirement in l999. She also volunteers at the Coffee Creek Women's orrec– tional facility in Wilson\'ille. She is a grandmother of six and lives in Portland. LL Victor Starkovich is manager of electronic materials technology at The Boeing Company in Seaule. ' 5 Albert Abe , a retired mathemat– ics and science teacher, is a long– time supporter of the Portland chapter of the Japanese Ameri– can Citizens League. He has received the local leagues life– time achievement awards as well as an awa rd for serving 10 years at the district and local level. Abe also volumeers for lkoi no Kai , which serves Japanese food three limes a week LO senior citi– zens through Portland's Loaves &: Fishes program. James Chadney, a retired col– lege professor and dean, lives in Dallas with Robena, his wife of 40 years. Chadney was dean of 28 PSU MAGAZINE WI TER 2006 N O T E S the college of liberal ans and sciences at Western Oregon University in Monmouth, where he concentrated on improving mstructional technology and scholar hip and introducing new academic programs. '66 Edre Lee Berry '67 is a home– maker living in Long Beach, California. Berry was a word processor for nine years with the county of Los Angeles. James "Jim" Bishop is a profes– sor at Boading Teacher College in Boading, Hebei, China. Kim Whitman MS '78 is \'ice president of sales and marketing at Renaissance Deve lopmem Corporation in Lake Oswego. '68 Roger Cooper is owner at Glencullen Orchards, an apple production company in Milton– Freewater. Her chel "Hersh" Fullerton was recently installed as 2005- 2006 grand chef de gare of La Sociclc des Quaranle Hammes el Huit Cl1cvaux Grande du Oregon , the Oregon chapter of an inde– pendem fraternal organization of U.S. veterans. Fullerton is also a member of the American Leg10n, Veterans of Foreign vVars, Vietnam Veterans of America and American Veterans organizations. He and his sister manage Golden West Estates in Walla Walla, Washington. Fullerton retired as service man– ager of a Salem car dealership in 2000. James Zenner is president of JPZ Consulting Group in St. Louis, lissouri. Bonnie Zogby is a volumeer in the Peace Corps' Crisis Corps program. 'f Andre Craan MS '71 is con– ducting research on toxins for Health Canada, the government depanmem responsible for Canada's public health. Craan earned a doctorate from the Universite de Momreal. He is married , has three children, and lives in Quebec, Canada. 7 Nancy Dombrowski MS '73 retired in June , following a 24-year career in education with the Reynolds School District. Dombrowski last served as prin– cipal al Scou Elementary School but previously was a teacher, middle school counselor, and assistant principal. Christopher Howell MA won a Washington State Book award in September for his collection of poems, Light's Ladde,; published by the University of Washington Pres in 2004. Howel l is a pro– fessor of English and creali\·e writing at Eastern Washington University:S Inland W Cemer of Writers and is senior editor for Eastern Washington Univer– sity Press. Light's Ladder is his eighth collection of poems. Mike Houck MST received the Architecture Foundation of Ore– gon:S 2005 Honored Citizen award in October for his comri– butions LO Oregon:S built en\'i– ronment. Houck is the director of the Urban Greenspaces Insti– tute at PSU and a naturalist for the Audubon ociety of Pon land.
